Meet Alina Hetz, Principal of AHID: a New York-based interior design firm that cultivates high end private residences

Behind the founding of AHID is my ambition for creating high impact design. To any work I take on, I make sure to bring both function and timelessness. Instead of having a signature look, I source inspiration from location, travel, and individuality of my clients to create innovative, fresh design with each project.   

A New York native, I spent my design school years traveling and learning and am now using that experience and my design sense to integrate unexpected elements that are functional, harmonious, and elegant. Using environmental psychology, ergonomics, my knowledge of design and of course preferences of my clients, I creatively manage and drive all phases of the firm’s projects - from concept development to the final walkthrough, ensuring the successful execution of a cohesive, creative vision.    

As the visionary behind AHID, I operate with a lifelong drive for excellence and a goal to creatively extend beyond the everyday. With my early experience as a real estate agent and incisive ability to refine and elevate a space, I strive to increase the value of your home. Whether I’m working on a summer retreat in the Hamptons, a residence in Manhattan, or pied-à-terre in Miami, I make sure to build comfortable, timeless, and distinguished spaces that reflect my clients’ personalities and lifestyles.
